The Freshwater Educational Foundation (FEF) is a non-profit volunteer group that helps support Freshwater School with extra educational opportunities with a STEAM focus. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math)
Enrichment Classes:
Help plan after school classes in cooking, photography, soccer, dance, ceramics, music and more.
Lego Nights:
1st Friday, monthly
6:30-8:00 pm, Multipurpose Room
Garden:
Help us re-invent the school garden with new ideas.
Volunteer:
Many jobs open: garden planning/digging, helping/instructing classes, & fundraising.
Educational Assemblies or Workshops:
For the last several years FEF has arranged and secured sponsors to underwrite the cost for a special educational assembly from Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding. Turtle Bay educators made the long journey to our school with many furry, feathered, and scaly friends. The students enjoyed learning about and interacting with an owl, snake, skunk, possum, and others.
